Living with anxiety and depression is rough.

It feels like your brain is running in circles from a fanged beast lurking in your mind, sleep slips through your fingers even when you do everything to catch those z's, and your heart pounds like it's doing a marathon in your chest. You keep waiting for that mature, elevated calm that your friends talk about when they stopped caring about meeting every expectation from their parents, aunties, and uncles, but you just care and care and care.

You wish you could just somehow hit pause on it all, but it feels like an impossible task. Anxiety and depression doesn't just hang out in one corner of your life; it's everywhere.

Your work and personal life run at full speed. You work in a demanding environment and identify as a high achiever. Many think you’ve got it all together but internally you feel frantic and stressed.

You want to break unhelpful family patterns and shift the story of your lineage for yourself and your relationships, but you don't know how.

Obviously, you have insight and know a lot of the ‘why’s’ but you still feel stuck in the harmful things that have happened. You’re beginning to realize that your typical ways of coping aren’t working - and you can’t read or podcast your way out of this.

I’m here to help.

Hi, I'm Roy, a care coach, writer, aspiring community organizer, and graduate student pursuing a degree in Counseling Psychology. I specialize in working with Asian American communities, other BIPOC communities, and LGBTQIA+ communities regarding themes at the intersection of religion, race, and sexuality from a decolonial perspective that encourages community care.

I currently study at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in the Masters of Counseling Psychology program (projected completion in Spring 2026) and serve my local communities with Asian Family Support Services of Austin (AFSSA).

Let’s work together! You can reach out by filling out the form below or contacting me at roy@roymong.com.
